Riipen is proud to announce our partnership with Thales, the multinational company that builds electrical systems and provides services across the industries of aerospace, space, defence, security and transportation.
Riipen is providing the platform to host this year’s Thales Innovation Championship, open to students across Canada who are interested in innovating in Artificial Intelligence.
This competition is designed to give 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate and graduate-level university and college students exposure to real-world AI challenges and to industry professionals in the field. Students will collaborate in teams to develop innovative solutions to the case provided, supported by a faculty mentor coach.
Finalist teams will have the opportunity to visit the Centre of Research and Technology in Artificial Intelligence eXpertise (cortAIx), which hosts world-class experts in AI. The final three teams receive prizes of up to $20,000.
Student teams may apply by September 23, 2018, and the full case for the challenge will be released on September 24. Students can learn more about this opportunity and sign up at http://riipen.com/thales-innovation-championship-2018/.
