Innovator Skills Initiative: Looking to hire a student who isn’t in a co-op program? The Innovator Skills Initiative (ISI) offers up to $10,000 a year to hire a business or tech student. The program connects undergrad and graduate students with an opportunity to bring their skills to a technology company looking for help

Career Ready Fund & Riipen Delivering Thousands of WIL Experiences for Ontario Students

Earlier this year, the Career Ready Fund (funded by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities) & Riipen launched an initiative to create thousands of work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for post-secondary students. The goal is to help students across the province gain industry relevant skills and opportunities to develop their professional networks before graduating.

Concordia U teams up with Riipen for enhanced experiential learning opportunities

Concordia faculty can now offer their students more hands-on learning opportunities, thanks to a new partnership between the university and Riipen, a Canadian-based educational collaboration platform provider. Faculty have access to Riipen’s web-based platform for project-based experiential learning, which connects educators with industry partners — local companies, community organizations, government agencies and NGOs — to share projects and assignments.

Piloting Riipen at Waterloo: Umair’s Story

We recently sat down with Umair Shah, a lecturer at The University of Waterloo’s Department of Management Sciences, a department within the Faculty of Engineering, to find out why and how he brought Riipen into his classroom.
