Riipen helps Concordia faculty provide experiential learning opportunities to students
Concordia University is committed to providing experiential learning to every incoming undergraduate student from this fall. Using the Riipen platform since 2018, faculty have access to real-world partnerships, matching employers with students for concrete projects. Students gain hands-on experience while helping organizations address real-world problems, leading to increased engagement and valuable skills development. The university's Experiential Learning Office supports instructors in utilizing the platform, offering awards to hire students for winter 2023 projects. The initiative comes at an ideal time to re-engage students after the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It really was a win-win, because the clients got an excellent experience out of the students, and the students had a hands-on experience," she says.
