How does Riipen differ from other internship platforms?
Riipen sets itself apart from other internship platforms by offering employers, students, and educators a robust experiential learning ecosystem tailored to remote projects. Nearly all internship opportunities on Riipen are virtual and project-based where students complete tasks for organizations as part of an academic program. This allows educators to achieve better educational outcomes while empowering students to develop employable skills—all while helping organizations and business leaders reach their goals.
Is this a paid internship platform?
Riipen is completely free for students and employers. We also don’t charge employers any recruitment fees if they decide to hire a student after completing a project or course. When it comes to paying learners for projects, if a project is completed in a course, it's typically not paid since learners are completing these part-time, in groups, for course credit. The Riipen project takes the place of a traditional assignment.
Who owns the intellectual property from these projects?
Learners own the IP on the work they create in class, but by providing it to their industry partner in the course of the assignment, they are giving the authorization to use it for any purpose.
