The Level UP program is an opportunity for students to work on short-term remote projects, connect with future employers, and gain real-work experience within a supportive and thriving community of Canadian students!

Simple eligibility

  • Be a current student registered in a Canadian post-secondary education institution, and
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • Are legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Work from anywhere

All Level UP projects can be completed 100% remotely. With direct integrations to Google Meet and Zoom, you can plan then take all meetings online from anywhere in the country.

Short-term, big impact

Each project is 60-hours in length and completed over a 2-12 week period depending on the cohort.

Give and get feedback

Once your project is over, give feedback to your employer partner and get it in return to display on LinkedIn or your resume.

Payments directly to your bank account

For each project you complete, you will receive $1,400 directly into your bank account. Remember you’d need to declare this taxable income with the CRA.

How many projects can I complete?

Students can complete 1 project per cohort. Read our FAQs for more information.

What are cohorts?

Cohorts are designated time frames within which students can complete projects. Students will apply to each cohort and must be invited to join. Learn more in our Cohort Breakdown.

How do I secure a project?

The first step is to submit an application for a cohort. If selected you will have the opportunity to apply for up to three projects. Once your project application is accepted, your employer project will commence during the specified cohort dates. Learn more here.

What are the deadlines?

Projects have set start and end dates depending on the cohort you’ve been accepted into. Read our February 2025 cohort Terms & Conditions to see key dates.
