With unique pandemic response, Canada’s Riipen helps both students and businesses
During the upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Riipen, a Canadian company connecting students and businesses through work-integrated learning (WIL) experiences, took bold action to support students and small businesses. With on-site internships canceled, Riipen offered free access to its platform for small and medium-sized businesses and expanded its offerings to include remote virtual internships. Riipen's mission to ensure students gain meaningful experience and succeed in their careers has driven its growth and positive outcomes for employers, educators, and students, contributing to reducing graduate underemployment and improving the overall economy.
“Riipen’s mission is to reduce graduate underemployment and unemployment, which is a short-term goal with long-term implications,” Natividad said. “We need to start making actionable changes today in order to improve our future workforce and economy.”
