RV Part Shop - QuickBooks Accounting

Case study from the Riipen Level UP remote internship program

RV Part Shop is an e-commerce store supplying customers with a full range of RV parts and accessories to maximize their enjoyment of an outdoor lifestyle. 

‍

Through the Level UP remote internship program, RV Part Shop CEO, Richard Gastmeier, partnered with Md Hafizur Rahman to help with a QuickBooks accounting project. 

‍

A student at Georgian College specializing in accounting, Md Hafizur gained valuable experience on this Riipen Level UP project learning how to use a tool like QuickBooks to expand his accounting knowledge. 

‍

“I really grew my accounting skills,” Md Hafizur shared. 

‍

By engaging in this project, Md Hafizur was able to better understand how a different country’s accounting system works. 

‍

“I really appreciate this work because it really helped me to understand the financial system in Canada,” Md Hafizur said.  

Providing structure was key to this Level UP project's success. Richard gave every Level UP student he worked with access to a shared Google Doc, project overview, instruction sheets, the goals of the assignments, and exactly how to do each task his company needed help with.

Richard is very grateful for the Level UP student work he received.

“The Level UP program allowed us to do things we couldn’t before. We never had the resources.” Richard shared.  

‍

In fact, Level UP student work has played a big part in the growth of RV Part Shop. 

‍

“It really moved our company forward,” Richard said. 

‍

Not only was Md Hafizur able to participate in a necessary project at RV Part Shop, but working on it helped his future career growth. 

‍

“This project helped me grow for future work. It has built up my career and resume.” Md Hafizur said. 

‍

For his part, Richard has been very happy with the Level UP program which has helped RV Part Shop take its business to new heights. 

“It’s a great program, especially for a small business. It will allow you to do things you couldn’t do before,” Richard said.

Md Hafizur is grateful to have worked on RV Part Shop’s accounting project. The experience exposed him to real-world accounting tasks where he could apply his skills. 

‍

“I would recommend this. You can connect to a real company and connect to a real-world situation. It helps to grow your future,” he shared.
